Nancy O'Dell began her broadcast career as an anchor and reporter at WPDE-TV located in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. In later years, she was employed by WCBD as anchor for the morning show and as a crime reporter. O'Dell's articles in Charleston concerning how Charleston police acted in DUI cases with care, led to an inquiry by State Law Enforcement Division. The investigation resulted a stricter instruction for the state's authorities. In the year 2000, Associated Press awarded Ms. O'Dell her Best Report of the year Award for every aspect of South Carolina media. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based station of NBC WTVJ-TV as an investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. O'Dell in addition to being the lead anchor for Access Hollywood, also appears on NBC News Today as well Dateline NBC. She's reported on major events like The Oscars The Emmys The Grammys The Golden Globe Awards in addition to hosting the Pre ShowArrivals shows at The Emmys. Co-hosted the Miss USA and Miss Universe pageants.
